Contingency for Norwegians abroad
Sjømannskirken's employees are present to meet people in difficult situations. We offer Emergency Response and Crisis Support to companies, shipping companies, educational institutions and organizations.
Sjømannskirken has long experience in following up people when incidents and crises occur abroad. An agreement with Sjømannskirken includes:
- 24-hour Emergency Phone (+47 951 19 181)
- App for mobile phone «Nødnummer».
- Crisis support and debrief after the incident, individually and/or in groups for all affected.
- Support for crisis management in psychosocial follow-up.
- Advice and guidance in following up the incident.
- Sjømannskirken can, by further agreement, assist the company in following up those involved afterwards, including next of kin.
- Visits at hospitals.
- Sjømannskirken can facilitate memorial services.
- Advice and guidance on contingency plans, peer support scheme, and support phone and center for next of kin if needed.
- Regular professional seminars in emergency preparedness and crisis support.
- «Næringsnytt» with updated information about Sjømannskirken's services.
